MEMORY
AND HOPE

The purpose of this website is to present the origin and inspiration of Memory and Hope, together with brief historical context about the World War II memorials of the former Yugoslavia where the film was created. It also includes behind-the-scenes photography, anecdotes, and reflections from the production process.

My encounter with these brutalist monuments became the foundation for a personal cinematic vision of death as a transformative stage. Architecture has long been my way of meditating on time—on impermanence, urban traces, and the act of leaving the past behind. With Memory and Hope, I continue and expand this artistic exploration.
